Mission Ministry News

Greg Burch of Latin American Mission working in Costa Rica with "at risk children" and teaching at ESEPA Seminary received his PhD. from Fuller Theological Seminary on June 12, 2010.  This is a great accomplishment for Greg and a blessing to the world of Christian missionary service.
Stacy Westover and her daughter Abby are leaving for a 3 week project in Haiti.  They are thrilled to be helping give leadership to American college students through Campus Crusade for Christ.  The short term goals are:*Distribute food and hygiene kits and show the Jesus film in oor villages, *Assist doctors and nurses in the medical clinic, *Set up solar/wind powered water purification units, *Clean up and rebuilding university buildings while sharing Christ with the Haitian college students.
The long term goals are:  Help rebuild the shattered campus ministry for a nation that desperately needs leaders with Christ-like character, and contribute to Haitian Campus Crusade's vision of creating a kingdom-saturated area where the gospel is continually going out, people are coming to Christ, churches are being planted, children are educated and sent to college, medical services are provided, job training is being done and a healthy local economy is growing. Please be in prayer for Stacy and Abby

News from the Young at Heart Fellowship

In June, the outing was very educational. We visited Wayne, a pottery artist who designs and creates beautiful pottery pieces at his home. He showed us how to mold the clay and went through the detailed process with us. In little time, beautiful cups, mugs and bowls were made. We all admired his art and purchased some too!

In July, we had lunch at Ruby’s for lunch to support our school fundraiser! We had a great time together.

Church Space for Rent The beautiful thing about having a church facility is that we can relay God’s Word to our surrounding community. The thing that is not so beautiful is that the bills will always continue and we must keep on paying them. First Congregational Church of Anaheim now has different sized space areas for additional congregations to rent ranging from the Griffith Chapel that seats 50 to 70 people to our full-size sanctuary that will seat 300 people. Please contact Gil Owen at the Church Office for more information or with any referrals you can make, (714)776–0960. For example, you may know of another church that is just starting or desires more spiritual surroundings to worship. Available space is open at different times throughout the week, including Sunday.
